His Excellency M Francis Etienne launching the French Place in the Bay of Islands

The French Place in the Bay of Islands: Essays from Pompallier’s Printery (Te Urunga Mai o te Iwi Wiwi), was launched on at Pompallier Mission on Thursday 13th October. The launch was conducted by His Excellency The Ambassador of France to New Zealand, M. Francis Etienne.

Dignatories and other guests, including a number of distinguished authors, were welcomed by tangata whenua to Pompallier Mission in Kororāreka Russell.

His Excellency is shown with his copy of the Collector’s Edition, hand bound in leather with gold tooling. A very limited number are available for purchase. Please contact sales@thefrenchplaceinthebay.co.nz for further details.
